Well, after a year of nasty power cuts and our crazy landlords we decided to move. We very lucky to find this awesome flat available and moved in about 2 weeks ago. We absolutely love the new place--the energy about the place with the people, children, and dogs running around as well as having generator backup are really nice! Lily has made some nice new friends here too. (Joke!) The new joke is actually that this is probably the fanciest place we will ever live in! Here are some photos of our new home . . .

Yes, It's mango season! And those are my birthday carrot cakes cooling in the background! No, I do not feel any different today than any other birthday!

This is an antique Burma teak wood chest we had restored. It's absolutely beautiful, so I thought I would share some photos.

Interior carvings of the chest--

These are some antique teak wood side tables we also had refinished.

A real cool bowl Adriana and Kevin gave us as a birthday and housewarming gift. It's from Brazil and its made out of banana leaves, craft paper, and then natural pigments were used to paint the border. We are still trying to figure out where to hang it!
