Tonight, we went to a real live concert! It has been two years since Paul and I have actually went to hear live music and it was so refreshing! Laura Marling (
http://www.lauramarling.com/) and Mumford & Sons (
http://www.mumfordandsons.com/), both from the UK, were headlining and playing at High Spirits Cafe behind Birdman's Poultry Shop. I felt transported back to The Ark or Michigan Theatre in Ann Arbor. Laura Marling has a style similar to Dar Williams, a bit edgier, but not as much as Ani DiFranco. Mumford & Sons finished the concert with their soulful vocals, electric guitars and banjo--it really worked! Similar to Keane, but their sounds are much harder with the guitar, keyboard and drums.
